Cheshire-based solar installer, the Green Electrician, has announced the launch of a new renewable heat division, expanding on its previous offerings of energy efficiency services as well as solar PV solutions.

The new division aims to offer a whole range of renewable heat solutions, ranging from biomass boilers to ground source heat pumps. The heat division will be led by Matthew Evans who has over 10 years’ experience in the design and installation of commercial, industrial and domestic renewable heat technologies. He commented: “I am really pleased to be joining the group, bringing my knowledge and experience to helping further grow and develop this area for customers. We have some great products to work with and look forward to creating a more energy efficient and greener outlook for our clients.”

The addition of the heat department marks a year of sustained growth for the company, after turnover exceeded £18 million, installing 4.3MW of solar across the UK.

Rupert Higgin, Managing Director of The Green Electrician Group, said: “This is a great extension of our business as it enhances our product and services portfolio, whilst helping our customers take advantage of financial initiatives such as the Renewable Heat Incentive. With the addition of innovative heat technology, we can provide a complete end to end renewable energy service to our customers.”
