Wolverhampton-based steel product manufacturer, Hill & Smith Solar has launched SolarKIT, a ground-mount system for solar systems sized between 3kW and 1MW.
The company said that it launched the new system in response to the government’s decision to scrap support for solar over 5MW. The company claims that its market research revealed an appetite for smaller mounting systems following the change in legislation.
The SolarKIT is the first standardised product that Hill & Smith Solar will offer. The company believes that the product's first panel slide-in system will ensure a quick and simple installation. The SolarKIT also offers flexibility of panel orientation and tilt angle.
Hill & Smith Solar has confirmed that the SolarKIT will be available from June 2015.
