Swiss inverter manufacturer SolarMax has further strengthened its presence in the UK after signing distribution deals with renewable distributors Zenex Solar and Solar Trade Sales.

The deals follow an expansion of the SolarMax UK team this year signalling the inverter manufacturer’s increased focus on the UK solar market.

Commenting on his company’s partnership with SolarMax, Ryan Gill, commercial director of Zenex said: “Zenex is always looking to offer the latest technological innovations to our customers. The SolarMax P Series, with its P Battery Upgrade Kit for optional battery storage and immersion control upgrades, offers this. We featured the product on our stand at Ecobuild, and it certainly gained a lot of interest, underlining how future proofing PV installations is an important factor when choosing system components.”

Paul Frost, sales director at Solar Trade Sales added: “The PV market is ever changing, and we wanted to bring on board a high-quality European inverter range into our portfolio. The SolarMax range fits perfectly, whilst being technically outstanding, they also offer our customers the latest innovations, and at a competitive price. We also liked the branding, which is different from the competition”.

Commenting on the potential of the UK solar sector, Martin Allman, regional manager north at Solarmax, said: “The UK market is busy across all the different sectors, from residential through to utility-scale…In particular, we are seeing significant opportunities on commercial rooftop sites, with a strong pipeline of PV plants between 50kW and 500kW on factories and warehouses.”
