Private healthcare provider Spire Healthcare has signed a £5.2 million contract with eEnergy to provide a solar PV (photovoltaic) system across 38 sites.
Raigmore Hospital in Inverness has installed a solar electric vehicle (EV) charging hub said to be the “first of its kind to be operational in Scotland.”
NHS Property Services (NHSPS) have installed a solar PV array on the south-facing roof elevation at Health House in Hull, which is set to generate more than 300MWh of renewable energy, saving the NHS over £60,000 in electricity costs.
A 1.1MWp solar system will be installed at Eastbourne District General Hospital as part of a series of upgrades aimed at slashing carbon and energy costs at the site.
Construction of a new solar farm is currently underway on a landfill site in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, with the site due to be operational by summer.
