Solar module producer and distributor aleo solar has joined together with Low Carbon Exchange (LCE) and Tigo Energy under the consortium name LCX Solar for the supply of premium modules and inverters to UK housing association Alliance Homes. The signed framework agreement allows for the delivery of a comprehensive service portfolio from a single source.

Alliance Homes will take delivery of 3MW of UK certified aleo solar modules for installation on 1,200 social housing rooftops. The individual installations, which will be approximately 2.5kW each, are to be completed by December 2011 at the latest.

Additional UK housing associations are also able to source modules via the LCX consortium, providing others with the opportunity to bypass the costs of tendering for services.

The management team at LCX will be overseeing the operational aspects of the UK organisation.
