A power purchase agreement (PPA) tender has been launched by the Mayor of London as part of ambitions to power the Tube network with 100% renewable electricity.

Renewables could power Transport for London’s rail services as it explores the possibility of forming Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

Transport for London (TfL) is to install 1.1MW of new solar capacity on a variety of its buildings after awarding Engie a contract to carry out the work following a competitive tender process.
