Morrisons’ South West Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) now features a 220kW solar photovoltaics system atop its 59 acre goods facility in Bridgwater, Somerset. The installation, which consists of Kingspan solar modules alongside insulated panels, is expected to deliver approximately 197,279kWh of energy per annum.

  MITIE energy have designed and installed a 49.4kWp system for the Mitsubishi Electric headquarters in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The rooftop installation is expected to generate 42,000kWh per year, saving over 22 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted every year.

Waxman Energy has designed and supplied a £2.2 million solar installation for Yearsley Group, the UK’s largest cold food storage and distribution provider. By generating 10 percent of its annual electricity by utilising renewable energy, the company is saving approximately 340 tonnes of CO2 a year.

A 105kWp solar PV system has been installed on the roof of the NEWS waste recovery facility at Costessey near Norwich. After evaluating a number of different renewable energy technologies, The Norse Group Board gave the green light to install the £300,000 system in April 2011 as the 6000m2 south-facing roof was ideally suited to benefit from solar PV technology.

The refurbishment of Whitebeck Court in Manchester offered the opportunity for Myriad Solar, in conjuction with Wates Living Space, to install a bespoke solar PV system that maximised both the horizontal space offered by the roof and the vertical space offered by the south-facing façade.

Myriad has completed the installation of an 11.84kWp system on Chalkhill Primary School in Wembley. The system will generate 10,163kWh of clean electricity for the school, resulting in annual CO2 savings of over 5.7 tonnes.
