Leominster Community Solar has taken the bold decision to proceed with the planned 50kWp installation on Leominster’s sports centre’s roof with the backing of the project’s installer Southern Solar.

Following the Government’s recent FiT cuts, Brighton Energy Co-operative has been forced to postpone the launch of its share offer as it waits for the results of the FiT review for community schemes, which is due December 23.

However, The Greener Group, a Chester based solar installer, has completed a groundbreaking solar photovoltaic installation on a listed building. It is one of the first installations of its kind in the country.

Aerial surveying company Bluesky has secured a €2.4 million investment to fund research into the development of a web-based renewable energy rating platform. Working alongside its European partners, Bluesky will use geographic data to assess the suitability of individual properties for solar energy generation and create an online portal housing this data.
