Ofgem’s Targeted Charging Review (TCR) proposals could delay the onset of subsidy-free solar in the UK by as much as five years, new research by Aurora Energy Research has found.
The Renewable Energy Association has taken aim at a government proposal to hike up the VAT rates attached to some energy saving materials, including solar and battery storage.
The government is aiming to start the legislative process for the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) before the summer in a bid to have the export tariff up and running before the end of the year.
