Our Generation, the energy services company set up in conjunction with the Mark Group, will work on a £10 million programme to install residential solar photovoltaic systems, which will be financed by the Foresight Group in the UK, over the next three months.

Wagner Solar UK has revealed plans to set up a solar thermal space heating division in the UK. Headed up by Dan Oliver, who was a member of Wagner Solar’s PV sales team, the division will offer the same quality service but for solar thermal products.

A German company has taken a majority stake in a division of a Wales-based renewable energy firm, securing 100 green jobs. MHH Solartechnik, which is based in Munich, has invested in the part of Dulas supplying solar panels, forming the new company, Dulas MHH.

A group of solar companies thwarted by the Department of Energy & Climate Change’s (DECC) decision to cut the feed-in tariff for solar photovoltaics installations over 50kW has been granted permission to proceed with its legal case. A High Court judge has ruled that the group of solar developers seeking a judicial review against Government can now advance with its case against Energy and Climate Change Secretary Chris Huhne.

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has today crushed hopes that the UK’s solar industry would have a large-scale future. After weeks of anticipation, Government has revealed that it plans to go ahead with the proposed tariffs, which chop large-scale funding down to 8.5p per kilowatt hour.

Krannich Solar has partnered with Bosch and Samsung to form their first distribution partnerships in the UK. Both brands have gained MCS accreditation, and have not partnered with anyone else for distribution within the UK solar market.

The Solar Building, the trade brand for The Solar Building Company, has secured exclusive distribution agreements with Samil Power and CETC48. The company will now provide Samil Power’s range of grid tied inverters and accessories alongside CETC48’s monocrystalline and polycrystalline PV modules for customers in the UK.

Specialist glass manufacturer Romag, which has recently been acquired by the Gentoo Group, has appointed 20 new staff members in order to meet demand for its increasing product portfolio, which includes solar photovoltaics.
